Have you ever searched for buried treasure? Whether it’s high in the trees or under the sand, you won’t believe how many “hunts” we are going to fit into this week of camp! There’ll be a Labyrinth, Treasure Map, Safari, Archaeology Dig, Ancient Quest and even a Snipe Hunt. We’ll chase, examine, rummage, interrogate, explore, probe and pursue. We are going to search high and low, follow clue after clue, and examine all the evidence to find the ultimate treasure. Many different rewards await you – from gold nuggets to the most cherished treasure of all – Jesus and His promises. Come and be a part of this amazing race, as we find the ultimate reward.
Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal; for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. -Matthew 6:19-21
About the Dean
Where are you involved at church?
I am the Children’s Minister at the Fairfield Church of Christ. I have been on staff here for 25 years.
What is your favorite Bible verse?
My favorite is Proverbs 3:5,6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart.” (The kids here ALL know that’s my favorite.)
What does camp ministry mean to you?
I grew up at camp – my Dad was the director at a camp in Upstate New York. I’ve actually been attending Woodland Lakes (back when it was Clermont County Christian Assembly) for 46 years. I was a camper in 1973! Camp is one of my favorite places on earth – a place where I feel closest to God.
What is your favorite camp memory?
I love how kids and adults can get away from the business and distractions of life and just enjoy a quiet place where God can be heard in so many ways.
What is your favorite dessert?
ANYTHING with caramel!
